When looking for a new home community, the amenities available are just as important as the homes themselves. Today, homeowners want community features that are fun and useful, especially during times of a pandemic when leaving the community poses a risk to health and safety.
Sometimes original amenities no longer serve the residents who live there. For example, the residents of the Connerton community wanted to see its Welcome Center transformed into a usable space. With input from about 2,000 residents, Lennar repurposed the Rose Cottage into a business center and organic café called Crossvine at Connerton. There’s something for everyone in the new retrofitted amenity.
COFFEE CREATES COMMUNITY
The café is open to the public and features organic, ethically and responsibly grown coffees from A Cup of Organic, along with teas, pastries, sandwiches, soups and salads.
A Cup of Organic supports farmers and those most in need in Honduras. Its mission is to provide the best organic coffee, fairly treat its famers and give back through fundraising efforts including an annual shoe drive for low-income communities in Honduras while also bringing communities together with coffee.
WORK FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD
As working from home has become the norm, Crossvine at Connerton boasts a membership-based business center. For those looking to switch up their work from home or learn from home setup, the business center is only a short and walkable commute from their front door.
COMMUNITY MEETING SPACE
Both the café and business center offer plenty of space for meetings of all kinds. The business center is perfect for neighborhood leaders to gather, students and parents to Zoom with teachers and for neighbors to host in-person business or club meetings.
With ample seating, the café offers a space for community residents to escape and burrow in a book with a cup of coffee or connect with neighbors and friends over a light lunch. While supporting a local business, community members and the public can work, study and relax in A Cup of Organic.
