Lennar Charitable Housing Foundation Provides Assistance For People In Need Of Shelter

Since Lennar’s inception in 1954, the company has played a major role in bettering the community through charitable contributions and in-kind donations for many important challenges facing society. One issue that has touched our hearts at Lennar is the overwhelming need for housing assistance for the transitional homeless – the hundreds of thousands of men, women and children forced out onto the streets due to domestic violence, unemployment, crisis pregnancies or catastrophic illness. Since 2001, Lennar Charitable Housing Foundation (“LCHF”) – a tax-exempt, nonprofit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation – has been, and will continue to be, highly influential in bettering communities by providing ongoing support to charities that assist those people in need of shelter. To do this, in select Lennar locations, an amount equal to a small percentage of the sales price of the Lennar home sold – now and every time it is resold – is contributed by the buyer to our foundation, then distributed to the organizations who need it most.
