Lennar Corp. is banking on those several generations living under one roof with houses the company is billing as “Next Gen” homes. The company is marketing the homes in a total of four developments in Glen Burnie and Waldorf. The multi-generational home is a trend sweeping the nation. Maryland Division President John R. White said the houses give people a chance to make room for their aging parents and older kids. The recession has made it a necessity for some families to share quarters, he said. “We’ve found that there are a lot of families who are drawn to multigenerational living solutions for economic reasons,” White said.
